I would like to extend a thank you to all of you who were able to attend our Steel Day lunch & learn presentation, where we launched our educational video series on steel hollow structural sections (HSS).

The video series, entitled “Designing with HSS,” will educate engineers and contractors on how HSS is produced and its remarkable design potential. Over the next few months, I will cover a wide range of topics related to steel HSS, providing an overview of the product’s benefits and uses in structural engineering and across the industry.

The first video, available for viewing today, discusses uses and applications of HSS, including:

• Seismic
• Long span
• Aesthetic appeal
• Tall columns
